Company profile
SWANTEC (Scientific Welding And Numerical TEChnology) was founded on 1 June 1999 as a private limited company based on many years research and development at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in metal forming, solid state bonding and resistance welding .

The core business of SWANTEC is to develop and commercialize professional finite element analysis software for simulation and optimization of resistance welding, mechanical joining and related processes, as well as to provide consulting service to manufacturing industry.

SWANTEC keeps always in the front line of technology with unique competence in industrial expertise and innovative approach to welding and joining solutions.

The company is located at the Science Park Scion-DTU in Kongens Lyngby, about 10 km north of Copenhagen.

Services
SWANTEC provides consulting service to industry for supporting weldability studies, product developments, welding process parameter optimizations, and trouble shooting welding problems for resistance welding and related processes including spot welding, projection welding, seam welding, butt welding and micro welding.

Consulting service to industry:
After receiving information of the welding problem and requests from the customer, a project proposal and a quotation will be forwarded to the customer within three business days. The project work and report will be completed and delivered to the customer on time.

SWANTEC will preserve confidentiality of industrial cases and information upon requirement of customers.

Technical support to SORPAS users:
Technical support is provided to the licensed users of SORPAS free of charge by e-mail and telephone, not only to support software applications but also to help discussing and solving welding problems.
