As the developers of PSCAD™/EMTDC™, our technical team provides consulting services, expert advice, and in-depth training and technical support on electromagnetic transient (EMT) studies. Clients have depended on our expertise for over 40 years, making PSCAD™/EMTDC™ simulation software the longest-standing, industry leading transient study tool today. MHRC has conducted switching and insulation coordination studies for hundreds of sub-stations over the past five years and is highly experienced in performing such studies and identifying mitigation techniques.

In addition, our system planning and operation team has a vast amount of experience in performing studies and preparation of specifications and cost estimates. We use a variety of tools, including industry-standard software PSS/E™ or DSA Tools™. Our engineers have provided comprehensive system planning and operation studies and services in over 15 countries.

Additional innovative technologies to improve transmission system efficiency are also offered by MHRC, including the dcLFL Line Fault Locator and Ice Vision Early Warning Ice Detection systems.
