1984
Bernhard Rindfleisch and Jens Hagen found a GbR partnership in Moosach near Munich, providing consulting, training and programming. The company is soon converted to Tebis GmbH.
1986
With Version 1.0, Tebis brings the first MS DOS-based 3D CAD system in the world to market. The system is controlled by a graphic input tablet overlaid with a paper “user interface” for calling up functions.
1989
Tebis Version 2.0 provide users with an interactive on-screen menu.
1990
With Version 2.1 it is possible to mill across any number of surfaces. This was a real sensation at the time.
1991
Tebis provides comprehensive CAD/CAM/CAQ software with the integration of Automill® and quality assurance functions. The company has been converted from a limited-liability GmbH to a corporation, Tebis Technische Informationssysteme AG.
1993
Tebis provides a UNIX version with its Version 3.0.
1992-1996
Subsidiaries in Sweden, Italy, France and the USA. Office in Hamburg.
1997
With Version 3.1, Tebis software always calculates the toolpaths on mathematically accurate CAD surfaces – a major benefit for surface quality, and a unique characteristic that still distinguishes Tebis.
2002
Tebis moves to its stand-alone office building in Martinsried and brings a completely revised design technology to the market with Version 3.2.
2007
Tebis concludes a collaboration contract with DCAM, a company specializing in wire EDM.
2001-2008
Subsidiaries in Great Britain, Spain, Canada and Portugal.
2008
In 2008, Version 3.4 supplied a new and uniform platform for all applications – including machine simulation.
2010
The Job Manager in Version 3.5 is a central control element for all processing steps in manufacturing.
2012

Tebis is positioned as the supplier of a comprehensive service portfolio that extends from consulting to software through implementation and support.
2014
Tebis celebrates its 30-year anniversary
2015
Version 4.0 provides a new user interface specifically developed for CAD/CAM applications, an industry-oriented product structure and a new platform for NC automation.
